Today the swell has finally picked up! We were absolutely stoked to see some decent sized waves hit Padang. Its been too long and we were completely ready for it! This morning at the camp we had another early surf but thankfully this morning the clouds had disappeared and sun was shining. We were greeted with a beautiful sunrise and fantastic waves, peeling 2-3 foot clean sets with more consistency than previous days. We were up at 5.30am and were surfing waves all on our own all morning. We stashed the boards and headed back to the camp for a hearty breakfast of omelettes, jaffles and pancakes. Then it was back down to the beach for session two and it was even better than the first. The swell picked up a little and although we were dealing with the crowd there was enough consistency for everyone to get waves. We stayed at Padang for a local feed and soaked up the sunshine. Made’s warung had nasi-goreng, mie-goreng and fresh fruit salad with well-ripened mangos. Yuuum! It was back to the camp then for some chillaxing and pool time before rounding up the crew to head down to Uluwatu for another unforgettable sunset and bintangs! The new bar is now open and running at the camp, right beside the pool table! Let the good times rollllll!
