Bintang's and a barbecue

Today was a dawn break with Padang all to ourselves for a morning session going through till lunch. Waves were 1 metre and nice and glassy. We surfed twice this morning then ‘walked’out through a low tide. No reef cuts just a lot of fun to start off the day. Early morning water proved to be too cold still with some clients spectating the fun from the shore in jumper and long pants. At the camp today we had a photo shoot for Maggie’s ‘Maginis Bikinis’. There were pigtails, lollipops and bubbles. A fun shoot full of colour and laughter. Keep an eye out on the Maginis Bikinis website for the pictures of the shoot. The gang then ventured into Kuta for a spot of shopping stocking up on surf gear and those ‘souvenir t-shirts for the folks’ and ‘the fridge magnet for grandma’. This afternoon some surfed Padang giving us clean long lefts and no crowd. The others headed to Uluwatu for the famed Bintang and a sunset as they watched Samo the surf guide carve it up as the sun went down. Tonight is barbecue night at the camp with good tunes, beers and some hearty meat on the grill- fuel to power us into those waves we thought we were going to miss!
